Clayton, Dubilier & Rice pays $610m for Veolia water filters

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, the US buy-out firm, has acquired Culligan International, a US water filter manufacturer, from French environmental services group Veolia Environment, for $610m (€500m.)

Culligan, a household name in the US for its water and air filtration products, had sales of $682m last year. It sells its products in the US and Europe through franchised dealerships.
