Nearly a third of the workers who clean Aviva’s City headquarters have postponed a strike over working conditions after their contractor, ISS UK, agreed to compromise on several of their demands.

ISS UK said it will make a one-off payment of £500 to each cleaner to compensate them for covering colleagues’ absences, according to a document seen by Financial News. So-called cover pay is one of the issues in dispute.
