Close Brothers Private Equity has crept past its target of £200m (€326m) to close its sixth buy-out fund at £202m.

In one of the tightest fundraising climates, Close Brothers' fundraising team, led by director Nick MacNay and managing director John Snook, managed to attract several overseas investors to the fund for the first time.
