CME doubles Dubai oil bourse stake

The world's largest derivatives market operator increases its stake in the Dubai Mercantile Exchange as it looks to gain greater exposure to the region's oil futures trading business

CME Group, the world’s largest futures market operator, has doubled its stake in Dubai Mercantile Exchange to 50%, as the Chicago-based firm looks to gain greater exposure to the region’s booming oil futures trading business.

DME offers trading in Oman crude oil futures, the third largest global oil benchmark behind Brent and West Texas Intermediate.
