CME hires ex-RBS clearing head

William Knottenbelt joins the Chicago Mercantile Exchange to lead its EMEA operations

Leading global derivatives marketplace, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, has appointed the former global head of central counterparty clearing at the Royal Bank of Scotland to lead its Europe, Middle East and African operations.

William Knottenbelt, based in London, will join the CME group next month taking over from Robert Ray, who will now manage key strategic initiatives for CME in Europe and South America.
