CME introduces CLS settlement for FX futures

Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has appointed Citigroup global transaction services, the cash management and trade services arm of Citigroup, to provide foreign exchange settlement services through CLS Bank, the operator of the continuous linked settlement (CLS) system.

CME said settlement via CLS would streamline its quarterly currency delivery and deliver cost savings to its clearing firms.
