Bridges Ventures, the venture capital firm co-founded by Apax veteran Sir Ronald Cohen to make social investments, has launched its first environmental project by backing a recycling company based in North East England.

Bridges has agreed to invest £6m (€8.6m) in Credential Environmental, committing £4m now with a further £2m to be invested at a later date to fund growth in the business.
