Coinbase poached a former Goldman Sachs managing director to lead its derivatives sales and agency trading arm.

Usman Naeem is joining the exchange to head up its push into derivatives trading, which started gaining traction earlier this year when the company bought FairX, a derivatives venue regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
