The former head of equity sales trading at Collins Stewart has joined investment bank Investec within a fortnight of the UK broker's former head of large cap equity sales joining stockbroker, Shore Capital.

Michael Sherry, who ran equity sales trading at Collins Stewart from 1999, will take on the newly created job of head of trading at Investec with responsibility for market making and its sales trading operations.
