Collins Stewart Tullett confirmed today it is in talks to buy corporate finance boutique Hawkpoint Partners as part of a drive to grow its stockbroking business.

Collins Stewart Tullett would join Hawkpoint with its stockbroking business following the separation of the stockbroking unit from the firm's interdealer brokerage. The demerger is planned to take place towards the end of the year.
