Columbia Threadneedle’s head of high yield in Emea to retire

Barrie Whitman launched the fund manager's high-yield team in Europe 20 years ago

Columbia Threadneedle's head of high-yield bond investing in Europe, the Middle East and Africa is to retire after 20 years with the asset manager.

Barrie Whitman, who launched Columbia Threadneedle's European high-yield team in 1999, will remain with the group until the end of 2019, during which time he will hand over his responsibilities to Roman Gaiser.
