Commerzbank Securities has hired Andrew Archer from Bank of America as an oil and gas analyst within its equity research team, three months after the US bank shut its European equity operations.

Archer, who joins the German bank in London after only two years at Bank of America, will cover the integrated oil and gas sector with a focus on ENI, Total and Repsol.
