Commodity ETP prices plummet in 2014

But crude oil exchange-traded products saw record inflows as investors looked to take advantage of low prices

Commodity exchange-traded products endured their worst performance since the global financial crisis during 2014, a survey by ETF Securities has found.

The report blamed strong supply across most commodity sectors, concerns over China demand and a strong US dollar for the 14.8% price fall during the year, the biggest drop since 2008 when commodity ETP prices recorded a 30.4% decline.
