Companies should link pay to non-financial performance

Companies should seek to integrate non-financial performance measures into incentive schemes, two leading investment institutions said.

Henderson Global Investors, the £68bn (€98bn) fund manager, and the Universities Superannuation Scheme, the £20bn pension fund, have looked at how indicators such as customer satisfaction, employee issues, environmental performance or health and safety can be incorporated into pay schemes.
