The UK Competition Commission has admitted it expected to lose the case brought against it by Belgian brewing company Interbrew over the blocking of its acquisition of Bass Brewers, the UK brewing group.
A spokeswoman at the UK Competition Commission said: "We were disappointed as it is the first judicial review we have lost, but it was one element we had possibly thought we were likely to lose on."
