Convertible bond banker exits Merrill

One of Merrill Lynch's most senior European equity bankers is leaving the bank after it hired a UK treasury adviser as head of European equity underwriting.

Mike Hammond, responsible for the bank's convertible bond origination business and its emerging European markets operation, has resigned.
