Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the UK's opposition Labour Party, has pledged his support for a less-complete withdrawal from the European Union by calling for a “new and strong relationship” with the single market after Brexit.

His party, he told an audience in Coventry today, would push for “tariff-free” access to the bloc for UK businesses that includes “a floor under existing rights, standards and protections".
