The approximately £600m (€1bn) Cornwall County Council pension fund in the UK has appointed Rothschild Asset Management and Capital International to run a £61m and a £130m bond mandate, respectively.

The appointment follows a strategy review assisted by Hymans Robertson, the fund's consultant. After a beauty parade including current manager Merrill Lynch Asset Managers, and three other managers Rothschild and Capital International were appointed.
