Coronavirus cases in London drop to 1 in 125 positive tests in mid-February

On 2 January, the ratio was one in every 30 Londoners

One in 125 people in London tested positive for Covid-19 on 12 February, the Office for National Statistics estimated in their latest coronavirus infection survey.

The figure, released on 19 February, is down from an estimated one in 30 positive cases on 2 January this year, before the government introduced a third nationwide lockdown in England to clamp down on the spread of the variant detected in Kent in September 2020.
