Corporate bond defaults exceed $100bn

The volume of corporate bond defaults for the year has passed $100bn (€111bn) for the first time, more than doubling last year's total of $49bn.

By the end of November, 229 companies had missed payments on $94.5bn of bonds, according to an analysis by Moody's, the debt rating agency.
