Corus adds to record year for European equity-linked issuance

Corus, the Anglo-Dutch steel company, has added to the boom year for equity-linked issuance in Europe by selling a €250m ($223m) convertible bond, paving the way for a straight debt issue.

Credit Suisse First Boston was the sole bookrunner of the convertible bond. A source close to the deal said: &quotThe paper flew out of the door and we could have closed the books after two hours.&quot
