Corus bid talk spotlights Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley

Shares in Corus rose 6.5% this morning following reports that the Anglo-Dutch steel group has entered merger talks with UK-listed Russian rival Evraz. Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley have worked on deals for both companies.

The two are also working on the €19bn ($23bn) hostile takeover of Parish-listed Arcelor by the Netherlands-based Mittal Group. Credit Suisse is advising Mittal and Morgan Stanley, Arcelor.
