Corus eyes new bond issue

Corus, the debt-laden Anglo-Dutch industrial business trying to offload its steel business, is planning a new bond issue to head off its maturing credit facility and to lengthen the duration of its debt.

Corus, which has debts of £1bn (€1.5bn), has a substantial amount of debt due in 2006, when an existing credit facility of £1bn reduces down to zero.
