Crédit Agricole creates General Secretariat

Crédit Agricole has hired Gilles Guitton, the chief executive of the French Banking Federation, to head up its new General Secretariat starting in October.

The newly created structure will co-ordinate Crédit Agricole's central secretariat, internal communication, press and corporate relations, economic research and legal functions. Guitton will report to Jean Laurent, the chief executive of Crédit Agricole.
