Crédit Lyonnais abandons Watson Wyatt court case

A division of Crédit Lyonnais, the French banking group, has agreed to drop a landmark High Court case it brought against Watson Wyatt, the actuarial consultant, which it accused of wrongly calculating the value of its UK pension scheme.

The case, which had its first hearing in court on Friday, was halted today after both parties agreed to end proceedings with no payments made.
