Crédit Lyonnais, the French banking group, is boosting its private equity business with the formation of Crédit Lyonnais Private Equity, an independent management company responsible for the all the group's private equity activities.

Formerly part of its asset management division, the new entity brings together the private equity teams of CLAM Private Equity, a third-party management company, with Crédit Lyonnais' in-house private equity investment executives.
