A star member of the research team at Credit Suisse, who was this year named the top banks analyst in the Thomson Reuters Extel Awards, has handed in his notice and is set to join a rival along with four further analysts and two specialist salesmen from the same team.

French banks analyst Guillaume Tiberghien and specialist salesmen Colin Hector and Alastair Macintosh are understood to have handed in their resignations to Credit Suisse.
