Credit Suisse has won a mandate to work on the $500m (€371m) flotation of Turkish television provider Digiturk, the Swiss bank's first initial public offering in the country since it bought local broker Baran Securities last month.
Last month Credit Suisse became the latest bank to enter the Turkish market when it bought local broker Baran for an undisclosed amount. The bank now holds a broker-dealer licence on the Istanbul stock exchange which means it can advise on equity deals without using a local broker as an intermediary.
