Credit Suisse taps US rival for new Italy chief

Credit Suisse has hired a top Italian banker from JP Morgan to lead its business in Italy, as the Swiss group looks to make up ground on its rivals in the country’s investment banking league tables.

Federico Imbert has been appointed chief executive officer of Credit Suisse in Italy, according to a statement from the bank. He joins from JP Morgan, where he had spent his entire 36-year career and most recently served as the US bank's chairman and senior country officer Italy.
