Credit Suisse has promoted Barclays de Zoete Wedd veteran Chris Horne to number two of its overall investment bank in Britain, following the retirement last week of Mike Hodgson.

Hodgson had been deputy head of Credit Suisse's investment bank in the UK since March 2013, but left after more than 20 years at the end of December, according to filings from Credit Suisse, Companies House and the Financial Services register. He is also an international swimmer.
