Credit Suisse has named Merrill Lynch's Kaan Basaran as head of its investment banking division and fixed income coverage in Turkey.

Basaran, who was co-head of Merrill's institutional client group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as head of the bank's European emerging markets sales team, will join Credit Suisse at the start of June.
