Credit Suisse has elevated 177 people to the coveted rank of managing director, the latest large bank to announce its pre-Christmas promotion round.
The Swiss bank’s 2019 class of MDs is slightly up on last year, when 173 employees were picked for advancement. Credit Suisse follows its investment banking rivals Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Barclays in unveiling its new MDs, and the promotion round caps what has been an eventful year for its investment bank.
