Credit Suisse settles lawsuit over mortgage securities for $600m

The Swiss bank said that it was 'pleased to have resolved this legacy matter'

Swiss bank Credit Suisse has paid $600m to settle a lawsuit over mortgage securities that collapsed in the 2008 financial crisis with US insurance firm MBIA Insurance.

The settlement was announced in an 11 February press release by MBIA and means the case will not go to appeal.
