Credit Suisse has just installed its third chief executive in five years, in yet another attempt to turn around a business beset with corporate scandals and executive failures.

Rate hikes and pandemic aside, the bank’s bosses are ultimately responsible for a few years of tumult involving Archegos, Greensill, high staff turnover, bonus clawbacks and weak revenues.
