Crunch-defying Ming vase set for £250,000 auction

UK auction house Bonhams is auctioning a Ming jar, a survivor from the era of Imperial Chinese dynasty. The porcelain jar painted with golden carp could sell for a quarter of a million pounds at the top end of estimations.

The jar, created between AD1522 and 1566, will be sold on May 14 at the London auction house as one of the highlights of London's Summer Asia Week Chinese art auction sales.
