Credit Suisse Asset Management, the funds arm of the Swiss bank, has hired a European chief operating officer to oversee all support functions for the bank's asset management divisions.

Joachim Mies has been employed by Credit Suisse after two decades at Dresdner Kleinwort, most recently as deputy global chief of operations.
