Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) has moved to strengthen its investment banking franchise by bringing back Brian Finn, a former head of mergers and acquisitions at the bank.
Finn, who left CSFB five years ago, returns with a loosely-defined role in what the bank described as "the newly created office of the chairman". This office is a three-man body overseeing strategy. It will also include John Mack, chief executive, and Stephen Volk, chairman of CSFB.
