CSFB orders analysts to sell the stocks they cover

Credit Suisse First Boston has become the second bulge bracket firm in the past month to ban its analysts from owning shares in the companies they cover.

In an attempt to bolster the perceived independence of its research and avoid conflicts of interest, CSFB has given its entire team of equity and fixed income analysts a deadline of the end of September to sell their stocks.
