A comparative guide to the different trends, standards and codes on corporate social responsibility across Europe has been published, giving a view of CSR activity in 17 countries.

Published by CSR Europe, a campaign group, the guide concludes: "Corporate social responsibility is not, as some might have it, only an Anglo-Saxon or northern European phenomenon. Experiences from Italy, Spain and Central and Eastern Europe show how corporate social responsibility is increasingly employed to tackle specific challenges all over Europe." The guide provides an overview of existing national social labels, social awards, social reporting guidelines and voluntary codes of conduct.
