Custody roundup: the second quarter

State Street becomes the latest custodian to report strong revenue growth for the second quarter

Revenue from servicing fees at State Street rose 10.6% year-on-year to $1.2 billion in the second quarter on the back of net new business, positive market movements and the firm’s November acquisition of Goldman Sachs Administration Services.

The acquisition helped to boost the firm's hedge fund administration services and served as a boon to its fees, State Street said in its second quarter results on Friday.
