Ray Dalio, the founder of top performing US hedge fund Bridgewater Associates, is stepping back from day-to-day business management of the firm he founded in 1975.

Writing on LinkedIn, Dalio said that he would cease to be co-CEO of the firm from April and instead would focus on his role as co-chief investment officer of the $160 billion hedge fund firm alongside Bob Prince and Greg Jensen.
