David Cameron opens up on ‘misgivings’ about UK’s Internal Market Bill

The former prime minister’s comments come as Tony Blair and John Major call the no-deal bill ‘shameful’ and ‘shocking’

Former Prime Minister David Cameron has “misgivings” about the government’s plan to introduce legislation that could change the UK’s Brexit withdrawal deal and impose a hard border in Ireland.

David Cameron, who was prime minister during the referendum to leave the European Union in 2016, said that it was the “very, very last thing you should contemplate”. His comments come as tension escalates between the European Union and the UK’s negotiators.
