Deutsche Bank’s top economist has warned that plans to bring European Union’s capital markets closer together will be “seriously hurt” by the UK’s exit from the bloc.
Speaking at a panel discussion on European capital markets at a British Bankers' Association conference in London on October 20, David Folkerts-Landau, Deutsche Bank's group chief economist and global head of research, said that during his career he could not recall a period "as dangerous, as difficult, as stressful" and with "more scope for instabilities as we have currently".
