Davis takes on Morgan Stanley

Evelyn Davis, the veteran US shareholder activist, has pledged to take on Morgan Stanley and other blue-chip US companies after she was instrumental in forcing Goldman Sachs to consider backing down on its boardroom policy.

Davis, who owns shares in other US companies as well as Morgan Stanley, told Financial News: "These firms are improving their corporate governance but it is about time that they adopted principles that are common to most other companies."
