Alastair Cuming, former business head of UK equities at Deutsche Asset Management, has resurfaced as head of UK institutional business at AXA Investment Managers. He was one of a dozen senior executives to leave Deutsche's troubled London business last year.

Cuming, to be based in London, replaces Joanna Munro, who is leaving to be global chief investment officer at HSBC Investments.
