Debt market hopes Turkish crisis does not spark panic

Emerging market debt professionals are hoping that the devaluation of the Turkish lira will not cause further panic across emerging bond markets.

The Turkish government abandoned the currency's crawling peg system and floated it late on Wednesday. Economists have indicated that the lira could dive by more than 40%.
