Barclays Capital co-president, Jerry del Missier, has reaped the reward for attracting Chinese and Singaporean investment into the UK bank, as his fellow co-president, Grant Kvalheim, has departed, leaving him as sole president of the business.

Kvalheim departures comes just months after he lost out to del Missier when Barclays Capital announced all the banks trading business would report to del Missier, leaving him a reduced role as head of its origination and investment banking business.
