Delevoye outlines proposals for French pension reform

Jean-Paul Delevoye, the French minister for the civil service and state reform, has outlined the first concrete proposals for pension reform after two weeks of trade union negotiations.

According to the new proposals, public sector workers must have 40 years' service to qualify for new benefits. This is the same period as private sector workers and a 30-month increase on the existing public sector one.
