Deloitte & Touche, the business advisory group, has appointed a mergers and acquisitions specialist as a partner in its London-based private equity team. It wants to boost headcount in the 200-strong division by 30% in the next year.

Chris Hyams was previously a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers's Paris-based transaction services practice.
