Big Four auditor Deloitte has appointed a new managing partner for the firm and a separate board to oversee its audit division as part of efforts to fall in line with upcoming governance regulations for the UK's largest accounting firms.

Stephen Griggs, its deputy chief executive and managing partner for audit & assurance and public policy, will step into the UK managing partner role.
